Teaching other officers how to handle search and seizure issues the right way is a big responsibility—and an important one. This course is designed for instructors and experienced officers who want to deepen their knowledge of the Fourth Amendment and earn certification to teach these critical topics to others.

Building on the skills developed in prior Blue to Gold courses—like Advanced Search & Seizure, Advanced Traffic Stops, and Advanced Criminal Investigations—you’ll strengthen your grasp of advanced Fourth Amendment principles and learn how to explain them in a way that makes sense on the street. You’ll also pick up teaching techniques that help other cops make sound, defensible decisions in the field.
